About

Nigel Firth has been playing guitar for thirty years and teaching for twenty five. For the past seventeen years he has taught at some of Oxfordshire and Berkshire’s most prestigious schools, including Moulsford Prep, St. Edward’s and The Oratory.

He has helped a generation of young guitarists achieve their goals and has guided them through Rockschool, Trinity Rock and Pop and ABRSM (classical guitar) examinations, proudly boasting a 100% pass rate.

For the past decade he has been the driving force behind Vienna Ditto, a duo peddling an unique blend of electronica and raw rockabilly, for whom he is the primary songwriter, recording engineer and manager. Together with singer Hatty Taylor, they have build a considerable following worldwide, gigging all round the UK and Europe and receiving airplay from Radio 1, Channel 4, BBC6 Music, XFM and countless others.

“Quite possibly the best band in Oxfordshire at the moment” Nightshift Magazine

“Like Portishead doing a Tarantino Soundtrack, fantastic” Huw Stephens, Radio 1
